The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired defenceman Braydon Coburn from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for defenceman Radko Gudas, a conditional first round draft pick in 2015 and a third round pick in 2015.

If the Lightning failed to make the playoffs this year and end up with the first overall pick in the NHL Draft, then the Flyers will receive the New York Rangers' 2015 first round pick, which was previously acquired by the Lightning.

The Lightning also shipped forward Brett Connolly, a former first round draft pick, to the Boston Bruins in a separate deal in exchange for a pair of second round draft picks in 2015 and 2016.

The 30-year-old Coburn has one goal and nine points in 39 games this season while Gudas, who is 24, has a pair of goals in 31 games. Gudas has been on the disabled list since the end of last year after undergoing knee surgery. He's expected to miss the next four months

Coburn carries a cap hit of $4.5-million for the next two years before becoming an unrestricted free agent while Gudas also has two more years to go and $2.4-million left on his contract before becoming a restricted free agent.

Connolly had 12 goals and 15 points in 50 games this season with Tampa Bay. He's scheduled to become a restricted free agent at the end of the season.

The Bruins enter the season's final stretch in eighth place in the East, two points ahead of the Florida Panthers in the race for the conference's final playoff spot.
