The Toronto Maple Leafs recalled rookie forward Matt Frattin prior to Tuesday's game against the Florida Panthers.
The move comes after centre Tim Connolly was sidelined 10 to 14 days with an unspecified upper-body injury.
The 23-year-old Frattin started the season with the Maple Leafs but was sent to the American Hockey League after registering just one assist in 11 games.
He had two goals and an assist in three games with the AHL Marlies.
Frattin was a fourth-round pick by the Leafs in the 2007 draft.
