Olivier Roy will start in goal as Canada opens the world junior championship against Russia on Sunday afternoon.

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan goaltender got the nod over Mark Visentin of the Niagara Ice Dogs.

Roy allowed one goal in his only start in pre-tournament play.

The Causapscal, Que., native was drafted 133rd overall by the Edmonton Oilers in 2009.
