Arron Asham will not be disciplined for his actions against the Washington Capitals, NHL spokesman John Dellapina told the Washington Times.

Asham belted Washington C Jay Beagle with a wicked right hand during a fight, leaving Beagle momentarily motionless on the ice.

Moments after the knockout, Asham waved his arms in "knockout" motion and then put his hands to his head in a motion that illustrated Asham "putting Beagle to sleep."
