Injured Vancouver Canucks defenceman Sami Salo will reportedly head on a conditioning assignment with the American Hockey League's Manitoba Moose.

The Winnipeg Free Press is reporting that Salo, who is recovering from a ruptured Achilles tendon suffered in July, could dress Friday when the Moose face the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The 36-year-old defenceman has not played since the NHL playoffs last May.
