Dylan Smoskowitz scored twice, including the winner, and set up one more as the Mississauga Steelheads downed the host Erie Otters 4-3 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Smoskowitz picked up the game's first star and now has a five-game scoring streak, which includes seven goals and 10 points.

Josh Burnside had a goal and an assist for the Steelheads (5-3-1) while Riley Brace chipped in with three assists.

Spenser Cobbold added a single goal to round out Mississauga's offence.

Connor Crisp had a goal and an assist for the Otters (2-5-2), who have dropped three straight contests, and Adam Pelech and Troy Donnay each scored once.

Mississauga's Tyson Teichmann stopped 21 shots, but had to leave the game midway through the third period after Pelech crashed into him. Spencer Martin picked up the win after stopping each of the five shots he faced in relief.

Oscar Dansk stopped 35 shots in a losing effort for Erie.

The Steelheads went 0-for-2 on the power play while the Otters were 0-for-3.

Elsewhere in the OHL, it was: Belleville 4, Oshawa 1; Sault Ste. Marie 3, Plymouth 2 (OT); Sarnia 4, Niagara 3 (OT); Barrie 2, Sudbury 1 and Owen Sound 5, Peterborough 4.

At Erie, Pa., Crisp opened the game with a goal at 7:32 of the first period, but Burnside responded with 30 seconds remaining in the period to make it 1-1 after 20 minutes of play.

Smoskowitz and Cobbold scored six minutes apart midway through the second period to make it 3-1 Mississauga heading into the final period.

Donnay made it a one-goal game at 6:07 of the third period.

Pelech evened the score for the Otters at 10:15, however Smoskowitz scored the eventual winner at 17:40 for the Steelheads.

Bulls 4 Generals 1

At Belleville, Ont., Brady Austin set up three goals, including the winner, and Malcolm Subban stopped 44 shots as the Bulls (6-2-1) downed Oshawa (6-2-1).

Greyhounds 3 Whalers 2 (OT)

At Plymouth, Mich., Andrew Fritsch scored twice, including the winner 1:50 into overtime, and Matt Murray made 31 saves as Sault Ste Marie (6-3-0) edged the Whalers (2-3-3).

Sting 4 IceDogs 3 (OT)

At Sarnia, Ont., Craig Hottot scored 2:16 into overtime and Daniel Nikandrov had a goal and an assist as the Sting (4-3-1) handed Niagara (5-4-1) its fourth straight defeat.

Colts 2 Wolves 1

At Barrie, Ont., Mathias Niederberger made 33 saves and Andreas Athanasiou and Erik Bradford each scored as the Colts (8-2-0) slipped past Sudbury (5-5-0) for their seventh win in a row.

Attack 5 Petes 4 (SO)

At Owen Sound, Ont., Cameron Brace and Daniel Catenacci both scored twice in regulation and once in the shootout as the Attack (7-1-1) picked up their fourth straight win by defeating the Petes (2-5-2).
