The Vancouver Canucks will be without three regular defencemen for the regular-season finale against Calgary.

Shane O'Brien and Aaron Rome were hurt during Thursday's 4-2 loss in San Jose, and Sami Salo left five minutes into practice Friday. Coach Alain Vigneault said they should be ready for next week's playoffs.

Vancouver called up rookie defenceman Evan Oberg from Manitoba of the American Hockey League before Saturday's game.

Christian Ehrhoff, who leads the defence in goals and points, returned against the Flames after missing two games with a knee injury.

The Canucks have been without top shutdown defenceman Willie Mitchell since a Jan. 16 concussion. Mitchell is expected to miss the playoffs, and Salo has picked up a majority of his minutes against the opposition's best forwards.
