The Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League announced Friday they have agreed to a professional tryout agreement with Todd Bertuzzi.

Bertuzzi, 39, is a veteran of 1,159 National Hockey League games. Originally drafted in the first round (23rd overall) in 1993 by the New York Islanders, the native of Sudbury, Ont., last played for the Detroit Red Wings during the 2013-14 season.

Bertuzzi is scheduled to report to Binghamton on Monday.
