Duncan, Thompson extend Canadian team's ski cross medal streak Add to ...

Dave Duncan of London, Ont., and Marielle Thompson of Whistler, B.C., extended Canada's medal streak on the ski cross World Cup circuit Sunday.

Duncan finished second in a men's event while Thompson was third in the women's competition. The Canadian team has earned medals in all eight World Cup races held this season, registering 16 podium finishes over that span.

Katrin Mueller of Switzerland captured the gold medal in the women's race, her first World Cup victory. Ophelie David of France was second for the second straight race.

Filip Flisar of Slovenia captured the men's race ahead of Duncan. France's Jean Frederic Chapuis finished third.
