Philipp Kohlschreiber beat Marin Cilic of Croatia 7-6 (8), 6-3 on Sunday to win the BMW Open for the second time.

The fourth-seeded German, who also won in 2007, saved seven of eight break points to claim his fourth title in his sixth ATP final.

Both were appearing in the final of the clay-court tournament for the second time, Cilic having lost to Mikhail Youzhny in 2010.

Kohlschreiber's previous title was also won in Germany, capturing last year's Gerry Weber Open in Halle.
