Glenn Howard overcame his toughest challenge of the tournament to advance to the final at the Dominion Tankard Ontario men's curling championship.

Howard needed to score a point in the 11th end to edge Brampton's Peter Corner 7-6 in a Page 1-2 playoff Saturday.

Howard's rink representing the Coldwater & District Curling Club is playing for its seventh straight Tankard title.

He has been perfect at the tournament after storming through the round robin with a 10-0 record.

Corner, meanwhile, will get another chance at ending Howard's dominance if he can advance to the final.

Corner will take on Mike Anderson in the semifinal Sunday after Anderson's Thornhill rink cruised by Brampton's Dayna Deruelle 7-3 in the Page 3-4 playoff.
