Canadian Olympic champion Rosie MacLennan won gold in the synchro event with partner Samantha Sendel on Saturday and also bounced to bronze in the individual competition at the final World Cup event of the year.

In the synchro event MacLennan and Sendel, both from Toronto, easily topped the field in the final with a score of 47.900 points. Mayu Otani and Miyu Yorshimura of Japan were a distant second with 45.300 points.

MacLennan found herself in a tight battle for top spot in the individual event with all three medallists within a point of each other.

Bryony Page of Great Britain won gold with 54.890 points, followed by silver medal winner Dan Li of China with 54.850 points and MacLennan in third with 54.835 points.

Toronto's Samantha Smith placed seventh with 51.550 points.

In the men's synchro event, brothers Keegan and Kyle Soehn of Red Deer, Alta., won the bronze medal behind Kiao Tu and Dong of China in first and Mikhail Melnik and Sergei Azarian of Russia in second.
