Martina Hingis has added a Toronto stop on her comeback tour.
The Swiss tennis star will play doubles at the Aug. 3-11 Rogers Cup.
Hingis, 32, recently announced she was coming out of retirement to play doubles at an event next week in California.
She received a wild card into the doubles draw in Toronto. Her partner is still to be determined.
Hingis won the 1999 and 2000 Rogers Cup singles titles as well as doubles trophies in 1998 and 2000.
Meanwhile, seven Canadians will be entered in the main draws of the men’s and women’s tournaments.
Frank Dancevic of Niagara Falls, Ont., Vasek Pospisil of Vancouver and Ottawa-born Jesse Levine will join top-ranked Canadian Milos Raonic of Thornhill, Ont., in Montreal after receiving wild cards Friday.
France’s Gael Monfils also received a wild card for the men’s tournament.
At the women’s event in Toronto, the wild cards went to Stephanie Dubois of Laval, Que., Sharon Fichman of Toronto and Eugenie Bouchard of Westmount, Que.Report Typo/Error
