Anderson Silva celebrates after defeating Stephan Bonnar at UFC153Felipe Dana/The Associated Press

Anderson Silva will defend his UFC middleweight title against Chris (The All-American) Weidman at UFC 162 on July 6 in Las Vegas.

The card will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Silva (33-4) stopped light-heavyweight Stephan Bonnar last October. He has won all 16 of his UFC fights.

Weidman (9-0) has been sidelined with a shoulder injury recently. He was slated to meet Tim (The Barbarian) Boetsch at UFC 155 in December but had to withdraw.

In other fights on the July card, Strikeforce middleweights Roger Gracie and Tim Kennedy will make their UFC debuts against one another. And Boetsch will face Mark (The Filipino Wrecking Machine) Munoz.

Rafael (Feijao) Cavalcante will tackle Thiago Silva in a battle of Brazilian light-heavyweights.

In UFC 160 news, Alistair Overeem has had to pull out of his heavyweight bout with former champion Junior dos Santos due to injury.
