All six Canadians entered in the Olympic parallel giant slalom snowboard competition were eliminated Wednesday, including defending men's gold medalist Jasey Jay Anderson.

Anderson, of Mont-Tremblant, Que., and Matt Morison of Burketon, Ont., made it through qualifying but were eliminated in the next round. The third Canadian in the men's race, Michael Lambert of Toronto, failed to made it through qualifying.

Three Canadian women failed to get past the quarter-finals after advancing through the first two stages.

Marianne Leeson of Burlington, Ont., was a strong fifth in the qualifying round, Caroline Calve of Aylmer, Que., was eighth and Ariane Lavigne of Lac Superieur, Que., was 14th.

Calve was a medal hope in this event, having won a World Cup race this season.
