Five Canadian gymnasts made it through the final stretch, earning berths to the Olympics in London after a final selection meet in Quebec on Thursday.

Three-time Canadian all-around champion Kristina Vaculik of Whitby, Ont., topped the 11 finalists in the running for an Olympic berth with a total of 94.40 points. "It's just an incredible feeling," said Vaculik, who narrowly missed a spot on the 2008 Olympic team and then sat out for over a year with an elbow injury before returning to competition in late 2009.

Victoria Moors of Cambridge, Ont., Brittany Rogers of Coquitlam, B.C., Dominique Pegg of Sarnia, Ont., and Ellie Black of Halifax also qualified for Canada's first full team in women's gymnastics since the 2004 Olympics.

Jessica Savona of Oakville, Ont., and Madeline Gardiner of Cambridge, Ont., were named first and second reserve athletes respectively.
