Ted Lekas, who was a scout with the Toronto Blue Jays for the past 18 seasons, has moved to the Baltimore Orioles as a major-league scout.
Blue Jays general manager J.P. Ricciardi said Lekas was getting a chance with the Orioles to take on more responsibility and that the move was a promotion. Lekas, who scouted professional players for the Blue Jays, and Ricciardi are both from Worcester, Mass.
