Star forward Christine Sinclair has won her 11th straight Canadian Soccer Association women's player of the year award, while midfielder Atiba Hutchinson has claimed the men's honour for the third time.

The Canadian Soccer Association announced the winners in a release Thursday.

Sinclair, from Burnaby, B.C., played in every minute of Canada's 11 international women's matches this year.

She scored one goal while serving as team captain.

At the club level, Sinclair scored seven times in her second year with the Portland Thorns FC of the NWSL.

Hutchinson, from Brampton, Ont., has played in every league game this season for Besiktas, one of the top clubs in Turkey.

He played in four of five games for the men's national team, scoring from the penalty spot in the 1-1 draw with Bulgaria in May.
