Well, this is my last post before the big cut on Monday. I can't really think of any connection to draw between video games and major surgery (other than the Trauma Center games, my opinion of which will likely change post-op), but I did stumble across an awesome game-related clip from the Onion that gave me a good belly laugh just when my belly was in greatest need of laughter. Here it is:

Are Violent Video Games Adequately Preparing Children For The Apocalypse?

It's nice knowing that I'll have an advantage finding ammunition stores in the irradiated future. Of course, that's assuming I'm not one of the mutants (those clever Onion panellists cover all the angles).

Anyway, I'll be out of action for about a month starting Monday. Again, interested readers can keep tabs on how I'm doing here.

You should also be aware that this blog will continue during my temporary absence. I've filed several posts that my editors will be putting up at regular intervals as I recuperate. (Finally, a list of the best games ever made! I bet you just can't wait to find out what they are.)

In the meantime, I hope all of you have fun with Resident Evil 5, Halo Wars, Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X., MadWorld, Empire: Total War, and all of the other exciting March releases I'll only be able to read about over the next few weeks. I'll have a lot of catching up to do come April.
