Before the bell: Stocks snap back on Putin comments

Markets this morning are trading virtually the opposite of where they were Monday, with stocks now rallying sharply and safe haven assets such as gold and U.S. treasuries falling hard, amid signals the volatile situation in the Ukraine is calming. U.S. futures at this moment suggest the nearly 0.9 per cent dive in the Dow Jones industrial average on Monday may completely be erased when trading gets underway at 930 a.m. (ET).
