PQ on track for crushing defeat, latest polls suggest

With a solid and persistent lead among francophone voters in Quebec, Pauline Marois had good reason to hope for a majority victory when she dissolved her government and called new elections. Now that the vote is just days away, the Parti Québécois instead appears to be on track for a crushing defeat.
