Cameron pushes U.S.-EU trade pact as next big G8 goal

Trade negotiations have all the qualities to appeal to nerds: consider phytosanitary regulations, tariff rates and public procurement rules. There is nothing in this that has popular appeal and you might therefore wonder why David Cameron has chosen to champion a U.S.-EU free trade agreement as the next grand political task for the G8 group of top nations.
