Don’t worry Marc Bolland, there are only 348 shopping days left until Christmas. The chief executive officer of Marks & Spencer has good reason to look forward to this year’s festivities. Last year’s were lousy. The company refused to discount its clothes as much as rivals so although margins remained steady, sales fell.
