Energy analysts depart CIBC

The securities unit of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce has a few more empty chairs in energy research after three staff left the firm.

Ian Tharp, who covered renewable energy companies, Ian Macqueen, who covered international energy producers, and research associate Blake McDonald have all left the investment bank, a spokesman confirmed. That comes in the wake of the departure of Andrew Potter, who covered senior energy names.
