CIBC sharpens focus on infrastructure with new hire

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce has created a new position to strengthen and expand its infrastructure finance business.

Laurene Bielski Mahon joined CIBC’s New York office Tuesday as a managing director and head of global infrastructure finance.

Infrastructure has been a key focus of Canada’s institutional investors over the past year, with many pension funds expressing an interest in lending more capital towards these long-term projects.
