From pasta to pork – agribusiness deals sizzle

Glencore Xstrata PLC is cutting down on its carbs.

The Swiss-based commodities giant’s latest divestiture is noodle maker Dakota Growers Pasta Co. The dry pasta business was sold on Monday for about $370-million (U.S.) to Post Holdings Inc., which is known for cereal brands such as Raisin Bran and Honey-Comb.
