National Bank makes cuts in mining, mergers

National Bank Financial is trimming its mining and mergers groups to reflect a slower business climate, letting go a half-dozen bankers.

The departures are at various levels, including one managing director, National Bank confirmed.

With year-end and bonus season upon the Canadian banks, they are adjusting their personnel. That’s leading to a steady diet of tweaks and trims across Bay Street.
