D+H hires former banker as Canadian head

Just a few months after a billion-dollar acquisition, Davis + Henderson Corp. has hired Duncan Hannay to run its Canadian operations.

Mr. Hannay most recently worked at Bank of Nova Scotia, where he was the head of marketing. Before that he ran E*Trade Canada, which Scotiabank bought in 2008.

At D+H, Mr. Hannay will work under chief executive officer Gerrard Schmid, who is increasingly focused on integrating Florida-based Harland Financial Solutions into the company’s fold, after announcing plans to buy the firm for $1.2-billion in July, 2013.
