Agrium throws another bone to shareholders

For a firm that says it has strong support for an overwhelming number of shareholders, Agrium Inc. is sure doing what it can to keep them happy.

In just over a year, Agrium has hiked its annual dividend from a meagre 11 cents (U.S.) per share to $2. The latest jump was announced Monday morning, with Agrium doubling its annual dividend from $1 to $2 per share, and also changing its dividend payments from semi-annual to quarterly distributions.
