Regulators propose trading rules for direct access

Canada’s trading regulator, in consultation with provincial securities commissions, has put together a proposal to amend the rules that govern a growing type of stock trading.

Direct electronic access, also known as direct market access, allows individuals and companies who aren’t registered on Canadian exchanges to execute trades here.
