Nexen, Viterra deals separate Federal agriculture minister Gerry Ritz said on Tuesday that he sees no indication of Chinese attempts to link CNOOC Ltd.’s bid for Nexen Inc with the approval of Glencore International PLC’s takeover of Viterra Inc.
Chinese approval is the last remaining hurdle for the Viterra deal, as the company owns a canola-crushing plant in China.
