TD’s asset management head resigns

Brian Murdock, the head of Toronto-Dominion Bank’s asset management arm, has resigned and will return to New York.

Mr. Murdock joined TD Asset Management in 2009 and will be replaced by Tim Wiggan, the former co-head of institutional sales at TD Securities.

Mr. Murdock, who was behind TD’s recent $668-million (U.S.) acquisition of U.S. asset manager Epoch Holding Corp., will stay with the bank until August to help with the changeover. In an interview he told Reuters that he doesn’t have a new role lined up.
