What does Iran covet more – uranium or gold?

As U.S. Barack President Obama urges patience with Iran in the round of nuclear talks soon to resume, the signs from Tehran are that the regime is eager to see what relief from sanctions it will be offered. In this carrot-and-stick game, the prize is a metal that Iran, at least in the short term, wants even more than it wants enriched uranium – gold.
