Bolivia's melting glacier Add to ...

Back in the 1970s, the Chacaltaya glacier, at 5,400 metres the world's highest ski resort, drew Peru's elite to its slopes up in the clouds. But today the party's over. The glacier has melted, and at its summit only a few rusting ski lifts remain.
