Until last week, he was merely an art-world aristocrat. Today, he's actually a little bit famous, the latest supporting player in the saga of Demi Moore's unravelling. Vito Schnabel, the 26-year-old art dealer son of pyjama-wearing eighties art maker Julian, was photographed last week in Miami Beach at a party with his girlfriend, the former Mrs. Ashton Kutcher. In town for the high-end Lollapalooza known as Art Basel, Moore was sitting in a nightclub beside Lenny Kravitz (who else?) dancing (awkwardly) and playing with her hair (like a sugar-high kid). Schnabel's photos were also taken. The pictures ran on, meaning bored teenagers and office workers from Kelowna to Kalamazoo might now have a better chance of knowing who Vito is. Will it help him launch an acting career? Get a book deal? Sell more art? Schnabel is a not-unserious dealer, representing artists such as Laurie Anderson and Terence Koh. For a young man trying to escape the shadow of a famous father, TMZ can only be a good thing.
