Terrence Howard takes the mic at the Shangri-La Hotel

Terrence Howard, who is in town for the TIFF film Prisoners, was caught on video singing My Girl in the lobby of the Shangri-La Hotel in downtown Toronto Wednesday night. The brief video was posted on Instagram.

Howard has come to Toronto in the middle of an ongoing personal crisis. His ex-wife Michelle Ghent obtained a restraining order against the actor in June after a fight in Costa Rica. That came after the couple had had a huge row in a Toronto hotel room in April.

Newly obtained court documents indicate Howard threatened to kill himself, threw Ghent to the ground and tossed her computer out a window after she found the phone numbers for six other women in his luggage during the Toronto trip. The couple were attempting a reconciliation at the time.
