Blue Ceiling dance: The Violet

Hour 11. This second annual concert features works by producer Lucy Rupert inspired by T.S. Eliot's poetry and Rupert's real life experience with amnesia. Also featured is choreography by Caroline Niklas-Gordon,Lisa Pijuan and Tina Fushell. Tomorrow, 9 p.m. $15. Sapphire Creations. This acclaimed company based in Kolkata, India, is known as one of that country's most daring and creative under artistic director Sudarshan Chakravarty. Two of his lead dancers, Subhajit Sarkar and Soumen Banerjee, will perform works that exemplify his new generation traditional/modern dance fusion. Aug. 16, 7 p.m. $9 to $12. Peggy Baker Dance Projects: Inside the Art. Canadian dance icon Baker joins with New York legend Molissa Fenley to present an in-depth look at their creative processes as both solo choreographers and interpreters in an intimate lecture/demo.
