The metal teeth worn by Richard Kiel's memorable character "Jaws" in "The Spy Who Loved Me" will be part of the exhibition of Bond memorabilia at Toronto's Bell Lightbox.
Costumes, gadgets, props and photographs from the James Bond movie franchise will be part of a new exhibit bound for Toronto this fall.
TIFF Bell Lightbox says "Designing 007 – Fifty Years of Bond Style" will celebrate the British spy's 50th anniversary.
Highlights include the steel teeth worn by Richard (Jaws) Kiel in 1997's The Spy Who Loved Me, storyboards for 1971's Diamonds are Forever, the overcoat worn by Sean Connery in 1962's Dr. No and multiple gadgets from Q Branch including the attache case given to Bond in 1963's From Russia With Love.
The 007 franchise is the longest running in film history with 22 films produced since 1962. The next instalment, Skyfall, is due for release in October.
The new exhibit is set to run Oct. 26 to Jan. 20, 2013.
"This in-depth examination of one of the most significant film and cultural icons of all time will offer new and familiar visitors an unprecedented look at the cutting-edge design and decor of the Bond legacy, charting its influence on contemporary society and on the action genre as a whole," said TIFF Bell Lightbox artistic director Noah Cowan.
