‘I’m going to do the thing that God put Ron Burgundy on this Earth to do: have salon-quality hair and read the news,’ says Will Ferrell.

The hilariously boorish, clueless, culturally insensitive men of the Channel 4 news team have said goodbye to San Diego and the 1970s, and hello to New York in the 1980s. Stay classy.

Yes, there's a new trailer for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, and it is as irresistible as a fresh dose of Sex Panther (if you don't get the reference, see the first film immediately).

"I'm going to do the thing that God put Ron Burgundy on this Earth to do: have salon-quality hair and read the news," says Will Ferrell.

The whole gang is back – Brick Tamland, Brian Fantana (now sporting an even sweeter mustache. How is that possible?), Champ Kind and Veronica Corningstone. New to the shenanigans is Kristen Wiig, who plays Steve Carell's love interest.

The outfits appear to be more ridiculous this time around (it is the 1980s, after all), and while Burgundy may have learned a few lessons about misogyny, it appears he has a long way to go when it comes to racial politics.

Directed by long-time Ferrell contributor Adam McKay, who also helmed the first movie, part two is set for release in December, meaning fans have been trapped in a glass case of emotion for nine years waiting for this much-anticipated sequel. I love lamp.
