Guitarist Andy Taylor parts company with Duran Duran Add to ...

Guitarist Andy Taylor is out of British 1980s band Duran Duran due to an "unworkable gulf" between him and the rest of the band, the New Wave group said on its website yesterday.

The remaining four members -- singer Simon Le Bon, keyboard player Nick Rhodes, bass guitarist John Taylor and drummer Roger Taylor -- confirmed rumours in a message to fans.

The band was due to start the U.S. leg of a tour in Chicago on Wednesday. Session guitarist Dom Brown will fill in for the remaining concert dates. AFP
