In Canada By Dave Hadfield and Chris Hadfield; streaming on YouTube

"And we have a golden rule that runs between these shores; you stay out of my face, I'll stay out of yours." In case you missed it, the space-station songster Chris Hadfield and sibling David posted a YouTube video of the shamelessly patriotic singalong variety, In Canada.

Though it's billed as a "polite song from two brothers who are just hoping your day is going okay," a cynic might see the agreeable shanty as another stunt in the Tang-drinking troubadour's bid to stay in our orbit for as long as possible. The homespun video portrays a day in the life of cottage-set white Canadiana, with campfires, docks and obligatory loon calls. We see the egg-cracking former commander making breakfast (and, yes, there's a strategically placed NASA coffee cup in the foreground, in case you forgot the ubiquitous Hadfield's astronautical claim to fame).

It is clear that Hadfield has no intention of staying out of our faces, and now he's roped in his brother for a new Bob and Doug McKenzie act. Coo, loo, coo, coo, coo, coo, coo, coooo and goo goo g'joob – he is the spaceman, he is the eggman.
