The 2008 Whistler Film Festival winners were announced yesterday. The $15,000 Borsos Award for Best New Canadian Feature Film went to Jim Donovan for 3 Seasons, a Québéçois production following the lives of five people for whom parenthood brings more pain than pleasure.

Other Borsos winners were Clark Johnson, who took Best Actor for his role in Nurse. Fighter. Boy and for Best Actress, 3 Seasons' Carinne Leduc. Pietra Brettkelly's The Art Star and the Sudanese Twins, which followed performance artist Vanessa Beecroft as she adopted infant twins from Darfur, won Best Documentary. Denis Villeneuve won the $1000 Best Short Film Award for Next Floor.
