FOOD Pitchin’ In Food Network, 7 p.m. ET; 8 p.m. PT The great Canadian food trip just keeps rolling along for Lynn Crawford. This country’s most beloved celebrity chef recently returned with new episodes of this series that takes her coast-to-coast in search of unique culinary experiences. In tonight’s first show, she rolls into Saskatchewan to explore the delights of the little-known prairie treasure known as Saskatoon berries. Next stop: Vancouver Island, which famously produces some of the finest seafood on the planet. Crawford has a particular fondness for scallops, but is she up for a day of harvesting them with brawny fisherman? She’s a brave soul.

DRAMA House Fox, Global, 8 p.m. ET/PT Well, it was only a matter of time before the tempestuous Dr. House (Hugh Laurie) got into hot water again. Tonight, a violent episode involving a patient brings serious repercussions, and House and his entire diagnostic staff are put under review by Dr. Walter Cofield, played by Jeffrey Wright. In a break from the show’s regular format, House and each team member separately recount the details of the incident from varying perspectives. As with every mess, someone has to be held accountable.

DRAMA Alcatraz Fox, CITY-TV, 9 p.m. ET/PT It’s still early, but this new series from Lost creator J.J. Abrams is already showing signs of a long run. Since launching last month, the show has steadily held its ratings (give some credit to having the still immensely popular House as its lead-in). The premise involves the spunky San Francisco cop Rebecca (Sarah Jones) tracking down former prisoners and staffers of the infamous Alcatraz Island prison—which is a little odd since the facility closed in 1963. Helping her out is the comic-book nerd/Alcatraz expert Dr. Diego Soto (Lost’s Jorge Garcia) and a nebulous government type named Hauser (Sam Neill). Tonight brings the reappearance of a former Alcatraz guard who is known to be a good man but is doing very bad things at the behest of an unseen acquaintance.

DRAMA Hawaii Five-O CBS, Global, 10 p.m. ET/PT Anybody who watched Hawaii Five-O back in the seventies has likely given up on this remake. The new version, currently in its sophomore season, holds virtually no connection to the source material, save for the fact that most of the principal characters have the same names (and in the case of Kono, played by Grace Park, have changed gender). And in the original series, the character of Danny “Danno” Williams was a support player; in this version, he factors regularly into the main storyline. Tonight, a disgraced dirty cop resurfaces in Hawaii with a plan to exact revenge upon Danno for ruining his career.

MOVIE The Diary of Anne Frank TCM, 10:15 p.m. ET; 7:15 p.m. PT Directly adapted from the successful fifties stage play, which in turn was based on the bestselling book, this 1959 film is a faithful retelling of the tragic true-life wartime story. Then-newcomer Millie Perkins assumed the titular role of the teenaged daughter of a Jewish family living in German-occupied Holland, circa 1942. When her sister Margot (Diane Baker) is summoned by Nazi authorities, Anne and her family move into a hidden section – “the Secret Annex”– in her father’s office building, where they spend the next two years. Shelley Winters earned an Oscar for her portrayal of a supportive Dutch housewife sharing the cramped quarters.
