DOCUMENTARY Bigfoot: The Definitive Guide Discovery, 8 p.m. ET; 9 p.m. PT Is Bigfoot real? Ever since blurry footage of an apelike creature scampering in the woods of Northern California surfaced in 1967, the scientific community has debated the creature's existence. To this day, sightings are reported every day in locations ranging from the jungles of Brazil to the densest regions of the Australian bush. This documentary features a team of top scientists analyzing more than 10,000 sightings throughout the world. Their collective expertise enables them to dismiss roughly 90 per cent of the reports, but their findings pinpoint several hot spots that indicate something is out there.
COMEDY The Office Global, 8:30 p.m.; NBC, 9 p.m. ET/PT We haven't heard the last of Andy Bernard (Ed Helms). Since being ousted from his managerial position at Dunder-Mifflin, the unassuming office mate has been at home composing rock operas and learning to cook. In tonight's new episode, he seizes the opportunity to reboot his career when erratic corporate hotshot Robert California (James Spader) shuts down a nearby branch of the company in a drunken snit. How badly do the staff want Andy back? So much that his comeback attempt prompts a rare partnership between Jim (John Krasinski) and Dwight (Rainn Wilson).
DRAMA Fairly Legal Showcase, 10 p.m. ET/PT First broadcast on the USA Network, this legal drama stars former NFL cheerleader Sarah Shahi as Kate Reed, a lawyer-turned-evaluative-mediator at the law firm started by her late father. Most episodes are structured around Kate helping a client fight back against some heartless corporate entity à la Erin Brockovich, but there are occasional exceptions. In tonight's new episode, she takes the case of a landlord on the verge of losing his building because a drug dealer is scaring off all the tenants.
MOVIE The Manchurian Candidate AMC, 11 p.m. ET; 8 p.m. PT Let's be clear: This 2004 thriller is not a remake of the 1962 film starring Laurence Harvey and Frank Sinatra. This version adheres more to the original novel by Richard Condon and stars Denzel Washington as former soldier Ben Marco, who is haunted by his tour of duty in the Gulf War. His former platoon mate Raymond (Liev Schreiber) is no less troubled, but received the Congressional Medal of Honor for bravery and has been elected to Congress. His ambitious senator mother Eleanor (Meryl Streep) is pushing him toward the vice-presidential candidacy, but there's still a dark secret in Raymond's past that only Ben can help him unravel.
