COMEDY 2 Broke Girls CBS, CITY-TV, 8 p.m. ET/PT The spirit of Laverne and Shirley lives on in this rookie sitcom, which wraps tonight. Supersized to an hour for the occasion, the season finale finds the adorable best-friend waitresses Max (Kat Dennings) and Caroline (Beth Behrs) talking their way into a lavish fashion gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The objective: Corner the design maven Martha Stewart, who plays herself, of course, in hopes of getting her approval of their cupcake business. DRAMA Castle ABC, CTV, 10 p.m. ET/PT Canadian content on American prime time will dip slightly following tonight's fourth-season finale of this popular crime-drama. Those paying attention will know the show's entire appeal wrests on the sustained sexual tension between the handsome author-sleuth Richard Castle, played by Edmonton-born Nathan Fillion, and the tough but sexy NYPD detective Kate Beckett, played by Stana Katic, a native of Hamilton, Ont., but does their forbidden love have a future? In tonight's season ender, Beckett redoubles her efforts to find the man who shot her, particularly after he's the lead suspect in the murder of an army veteran. Castle has vital information on the case, but telling Beckett will compromise his author integrity. So what's more important? The babe or the book?

MOVIE One True Thing Vision, midnight ET; 9 p.m. PT Based on a novel by New York Times columnist Anna Quindlen, this 1998 drama boasts yet another remarkable acting turn by Meryl Streep. To the surprise of absolutely no one, she earned an Oscar nomination for her moving portrayal of Kate, a fifty-something housewife handed a terminal cancer diagnosis. Kate's bookish husband George (William Hurt) convinces his journalist daughter Ellen to return home for care-giving duty, which naturally leads to a rapprochement between mother and daughter in the former's final hours. It's schmaltzy, but Ms. Streep brings the story to a higher ground. The New York Times
