COMEDY Awkward. MuchMusic, 8:30 p.m.ET; 5:30 p.m. PT If you missed this MTV series when it ran earlier this year, watch it now. The TV antithesis to teen-themed programs such as Hannah Montana and iCarly, the show's premise focuses squarely on the character of Jenna (Ashley Rickards), your typical self-conscious teen at odds with her mean-spirited classmates at school and her own vapid, plastic-surgery-obsessed mother at home. In tonight's pilot, Jenna goes from being nerdy to popular when an accident is misconstrued as a suicide attempt. These kids today....

COMEDY Suburgatory ABC, Citytv, 8:30 p.m. You take your thrills where you find them in the suburbs. In tonight's episode of this new hit sitcom, transplanted Manhattanite teen Tessa (Jane Levy) revels in the excitement and police response when the weird neighbour Sheila (Ana Gasteyer) reports that her Shirley Temple doll collection has been stolen. The bad news: Tessa's intense father George (Jeremy Sisto) starts burglar-proofing their own home.

DRAMA Harry's Law NBC, Global, 9 p.m. The danger of sports-related head concussions has been dominating the news in recent months and now it has trickled down to network television. In tonight's new episode, storefront lawyer Harry (Kathy Bates) argues on the behalf of parents whose son died after sustaining a concussive head blow while playing high school football. At the same time, Harry's legal colleague Tommy (Christopher McDonald) takes the case a struggling single mother who robbed a bank to pay her bills. Don't get any ideas.

MOVIE Pushover TCM, midnight ET; 9 p.m. PT One of the lesser-known noir films, this 1954 feature boasts an impressive performance by Fred MacMurray, who would later rise to TV prominence on the sixties sitcom My Three Sons. The story casts MacMurray as the humourless detective Paul Sheridan, who is assigned to tail Leona (Kim Novak), the girlfriend of a mobster who just pulled off a major bank heist. As should be expected, the copper starts to fall for the dame. The movie itself is no Double Indemnity, but you'll be surprised how it turns out.
