Renowned former dancer Karen Kain can add a public school named after her to her litany of achievements after the Toronto District School Board voted to rename an arts-focused middle school in the city's west end yesterday.

Effective immediately, the Karen Kain School of the Arts is the new moniker of Crestwood Public School, which houses students from Grade 6 to 8 and is enveloped within the Etobicoke School of the Arts campus. Kain's name was chosen by the school's students with input from the school council and the community.
