Daniel Leblanc became a full-time reporter in 1998. He started off at the Ottawa Citizen on a one-year internship that year, before joining the Ottawa bureau of The Globe and Mail in August, 1998. He is the winner of the Charles Lynch Award for outstanding coverage of national affairs from the Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery (2012); Michener Award (2004); National Newspaper Award (2012) and four citations of merit.
