Emerald Bensadoun joined The Globe after a two-year stint at Global News as a national reporter. In the past, she has also worked for CBC's The National, The Canadian Press and The Toronto Star, getting her start in journalism as a freelancer reporting from the Middle East during the Gaza War in 2014. Outside of her journalism career, Emerald is pursuing her masters' degree in Creative Writing and Literature at Harvard University.
