Jake is based in Toronto, where he has lived since 2014. He has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University (previously Ryerson University), and has previously worked as a reporter for Vice, The Toronto Star, and The Canadian Press. Since he started reporting in 2015, much of Jake’s work has focused on Canada's housing and homelessness crisis, but he has also spent a significant amount of time writing about issues such as the opioid epidemic and online radicalization.
